To think that someone who works in a 'caring' capacity should bloody well do just that???

What is wrong with people??/?

Visited a lovely, lovely old lady today with numerous physical and severe mental health problems.

Turns out that the 'carers' who are supposed to be going in twice a day to wash her, feed her etc cant be arsed and have been 'doctoring' the diary that they have to fill in to make it look like they have been attending.

Poor woman hasnt had a wash for three weeks so we had to shower her (this doesnt bother me at all btw)

Bloke upstairs in his flat has been feeding her when the carers haven't turned up.

Bloody hell, How can you be so heartless?????

also unless you area nursing agnecy you dont have to register with CSCI soany tom dick and harry canopen upand effectivly send anyone in (lots of forged documentation around) I have heard of one agnecy that interview carers over the phone and send them in that day,not even doing a CRB check

when i employ someone i always ask myselfif i would be happy with them looking after my mother!

although saying that one of my carers washed somebodies face the other day and he still had his classes on

needless to say she is an ex-employee

DH only gets min wage and even then it's as if they are doing him a favour. 36 plus hrs/wk on min wage..... any wonder some people get demoralised. he has had soooo much trouble for speaking up that he has decided to leave. the plan was to go and do nursing but recent events at work have put him off for life!!!

as he says, he gets warnings for spending time with his residents cos, shock horror, the wardrobes aren't tidy since when did we forget that we will be there one day.... btw imo the relatives who don't visit regularly are the ones who complain the most, must make them feel less guilty. and i'm not talking about the ones who live miles away. i know a man who's son lives 5mins drive from the home. he has seen him twice in the 5yrs that he's been in the home...
