To ask Kimberly Clarke to bring XXL DryNites to the UK?

OneAmusedShark · 12/05/2025 18:11

DD is high functioning autistic with multiple sensory issues and she still wets the bed.

I’ve always used DryNites but even the XL 13+ size is now getting quite snug.

I’ve been doing some research and can see that in the US and Canada the parent company makes an identical product called “Goodnites” which comes in an additional size XXL.

I got a couple of samples off eBay and they are significantly bigger than the 13+ size. They fit DD with tons of room to spare.

They would be ideal as she continues to grow.

They can be got from Amazon but the shipping from the USA makes them unaffordable as a regular option.

Would there be sufficient demand in the UK for these to be stocked in supermarkets?

I know there was a campaign some time ago for SEN nappies to be stocked in supermarkets and Tesco now stock giant “Junior” tape on nappies, but they’re not the same and I can’t see DD agreeing to
use those if the DryNites became too
big.

Thanks for the suggestion.

DD is still only young and the DryNites are a bit more age-appropriate (and discreet) than adult incontinence pants.

Someone on another thread was looking for larger than the 8-15 size and I pointed them in the direction of the 13+ which is larger, but they’re now getting “snug” on DD.

We moved to washable as dc became sensory overloaded with crinkle of disposables

OneAmusedShark · 13/05/2025 18:58

These are the ones I was talking about.

If anyone from Kimberly-Clark UK is
trawling this forum, please please please could we have them in UK?

@Hankunamatata I like the idea of reusables but never found any that don’t leak, sadly.

DryNites do the job well in keeping her comfortable- it’s just the XL are getting rather “snug”, hence my hope that we’ll get these in XXL on this side of the Atlantic!

Does your local authority provide nappies for SEN?

hangingonfordearlife1 · 13/05/2025 19:07

how old is she?

Birch101 · 13/05/2025 19:07

Could you approach a company to be a stockist like incontinence choice?

CopperWhite · 13/05/2025 19:14

Young people get continence products provided by the local authority so the majority will use what comes free, even though they aren’t as good. There probably isn’t enough demand.

For DD it’s only at night so I don’t think the local continence service would supply them.

Presumably you don’t get that in the USA as there’s no NHS.

But they’re available in Canada where they do have an NHS so presumably there’s a market there for bigger night pants that aren’t tape on nappy-style?

Do market researchers for the big companies come on here to look for product requests/ reviews/ innovations, I wonder?

If anyone else would find these useful for their DC, please do message Kimberly Clark via this link and ask them to bring DryNites XXL to the UK:

These are the XXL pants I’m talking about that they do in the US and Canada (same as DryNites under the name Goodnites) that you can get on Amazon but are expensive to import:

You should be getting continence products from the local authority.
My autistic DS also needed them only at night and we were provided them.

That is interesting- I never knew they supplied products for bedwetting only.

What did they supply you with?

DD wouldn’t wear anything that resembles a nappy, I know.

falalalatte · 18/06/2025 18:46

They were the Libero ones.
Have you tried the Desmopressin meds?

Have you tried the Desmopressin meds?

Yes. It was a nasal spray and she had a major meltdown when we tried to administer it so we left it there really.

I’ll see if I can source Libero ones and give them a try.

Thanks!

Ooh! Ooh! I got a reply from DryNites!

Here’s what they said:

Dear OneAmusedShark,

Thank you for your recent contact us regarding Huggies DryNites.

We appreciate and understand your interest in larger sizes. Please be assured that we regularly evaluate our range of sizes through research and consumer testing.

As we receive and evaluate new data, it is possible that larger sizes of Huggies DryNites could be available in the future.

Thank you again for sharing your comments with us.

Very encouraging op, I hope they do I didn’t know they did these in xll my son is asd and wets and soils at night and the continence service do not provide any products for us. He does take desmopressin that goes under his tongue but it isn’t always effective.

It’s tough isn’t it, I hoped by 14 things would’ve improved but actually I think it’s worse.

PerfectlyNormalOwlFreeMorning · 12/07/2025 22:26

Tena do pull up pants that aren't very different at all

minnienono · 12/07/2025 22:30

My dd is autistic and struggles with continence, I bought the modibodi continence products because they are a lot more discreet as look like period underwear but are more absorbent, plus whilst there’s an outlay they pay for themselves.
