To think 16 year olds don't go out to clubs and parties anymore?

I was in secondary for the 90s, and at around 16, we were all clubbing and going to raves, pubs, gigs and generally having a whale of a time. I know my parents generation were out a lot too by 16.

I know quite a few 16 year olds children of friends and relatives and they don't seem to go out very much at all like that.
Am I unreasonable to think that this generation are not party people??

Asking as so much culture and new music was created in generations past and fuelled by younger generations pushing boundaries. But either I am old and zi just dont know about these things, or youth culture is genuinly stiffled. They seem to all listen to 90s music atm 😂or mainstream music?
What do you think about it? What do you know that I don't as I am too old 😂

I do recall one night, must’ve been about 16, where I did get chucked out of one of my local pubs. Not for being underage but for getting up on the bar for some stupid reason! There were a few other occasions that were really stupid and risky and one in particular did end up having a bit of a bad outcome (not like that, thankfully), but I was only 16 (and everyone knew I was ), and all the others were adults, but a situation happened, none of which was my fault, but it ended up having quite a fall out with someone losing their job. Honestly nothing to do with me, I just happened to be there, but it wasn’t until a little while later on that I found out I’d been blamed when I overheard some girls on a train - people I had no idea who they were, or who knew personally - talking about it and blaming me for the person losing their job! On a bloody train! I was a kid, ffs, and that’s when I found out I’d apparently been scapegoated!!
