How do I stretch out my new Levi’s jeans? Squeezed to death here!

Decided to splash out on jeans that would hopefully retain their shape and look fashionable. Fab young sales assistant convinced me to buy the ribcage jeans very tight round the waist “as they stretch”. Three sales assistants all said the same to me. But the jeans are not shifting! Help!! They’re so tight I have to move the crotch seam over to one side before I sit down or I’d be in trouble! I should have cottoned on that these lovely youngsters possibly wouldn’t have known about bloat/meno belly and that my waist to hip ratio at 45 will be much smaller than a young woman’s. I’m so gutted. The jeans were over £100 and after 4 wears I'm still suffocated and ready to bin them. What can I do? There must be a secret to them stretching. Tell me your secrets please!

I was so lucky on Vinted once, as I effectively swapped an item for its next size up- seller wanted a size down, both items were in a similar condition and we paid the same amount, made parcel size the same, it worked really well. Maybe you could do something similar.

You'd definitely have a case for taking them back as not fit for purpose if you bought them based on being told they'd stretch. Pretty sure the legislation is 6 months.

And I'd probably go straight to emailing head office and saying you're a bit embarrassed about it but are they able to help.

Thanks guys, that’s helpful. I could cope with an email to head office but just don’t really want to go and stand in the shop and declare I can’t get my jeans on :-/

Life is far too short for uncomfortable jeans and those sound horrific!
