Total income ~7,000 pcm (can be a bit more due to overtime etc) but basic is 7k

looking like it would be 1500-1900 pcm

is this too much?

My income is less than £3k and mortgage is £1k - manage fine as I’m frugal in other ways

It's under a 1/3 of income, so in theory all is good, but circumstances change etc..,
If I was paying that I wouldn't mind, but again, are jobs relatively safe, any major expenses ? Just the usual rubbish which everyone needs the reassurance over. :-)

Jobs are as safe as anyone who has a permanent contract. Work in a global pharmaceutical company. Nothing is sacred though I suppose. No other debts etc
