Uncomfortable comment in supermarket

I’ve named changed and tried to be high level below so not to be outing.

I work part time for a catering firm which involves me going into various corporate offices to sell their products on stalls, the odd morning here and there.

I was doing a shop yesterday when a man came up to me and asked me if I worked for X which I said yes. He then said ‘seeing your chest is the highlight of my working week’ and walked off with his trolley.

I was so taken aback I didn’t know what to say, and he was gone so quick.

I know what company he works for - do you think I should say something or as it’s out of work, his employer probably won’t be interested? I’m just worried I might see him again as it made me feel really uncomfortable.

Next time, just tell him to fuck off. Or point out that seeing his face is the low point of your week.

So you know him because he works in one of the places where you go for your job? In that case I would contact his employer as by saying that he will make you uncomfortable in the workplace the next time you attend it. He’s creating a liability for his employer that its HR may like to protect it from.

I work in HR and would act on this if I found out one of our guys said this!

His employer should be interested as he could land them in the employment tribunal.

Report him to them. Say that he sexually harassed you and tell them exactly what he said. Do it now, stand up for yourself and teach the piece of shit a lesson.
