To go on holiday anyway?

DH has just last night, announced he hasn't been authorised leave for May Half Term. We're due to go to Lake Garda.
I'm taking the kids and we're going on holiday without him. He's upset about it.

Well it's not my fault he didn't book it back in October when we booked it... And when I asked him in February time he said "yeah yeah, I'll sort it"
It's shame his flight is going to waste, but the accommodation is the same regardless.

Go for it! I’ve been on holiday before when DH couldn’t make it (military). What a plonker. Is there any chance he could appeal and be successful? Or would male ego not allow him to ask?

I'd be so gutted but he's an absolute arsehole expecting you all to miss out! Why can't they just get on with simple shit 🤦🏼‍♀️ I bet the form took all of two minutes to fill in. Is he secure in his job OP or having any problems at work? I did something similar many years ago because my back was up against the wall and I was too scared to ask my boss.

Put an airtag in his car and see what he gets up to while you're away and check your cameras. I would.

He has something else planned I reckon, and his pleas of disappointment and all that are covering up for something other than incompetence. So he decides to tell you three weeks before departure? Hmmm, why only now?

No man is to be trusted - apparently. He might just be delighted that he is alone with no responsibilities, and can go down the pub every night with his mates or whatever his poison is, unfettered.
