To wish there was a slobber and drool emoji?

If there is, I haven't seen it.

I might like to use to when someone states the obvious, or presents a stealth boast, that kind of thing.

Like on a fairly regular thread about the hot weather, and someone says "I have no idea why you can't just retire to the summer house OP", etc.

or
"Not sure about you, but we have a thatched roof and 5 ghosts"

and

"We retired at 35, it's such a struggle"

It would be a kind of lol combined with drool emoji and it needs to exist Grin

I’m not really sure where drooling fits in with those statements though?

Hekett · 01/05/2025 22:50

🤤

Mycatstares9 · 01/05/2025 22:51

🤤

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 01/05/2025 22:51

Why would you drool in reaction?

UpJacksArseAndRoundTheCorner · 01/05/2025 22:55

I can't say I've ever slobbered or drooled in response to someone boasting? 😳🤣

CheesyLeek · 01/05/2025 22:57

I’ve never felt the need to slobber or drool at any post.

TheBreezeTheBreeze · 01/05/2025 23:00

Sorry if it wasn't clear Grin

I mean a droolly emoji reacts in the way of saying "oh gosh aren't you ever so antiquated and just a wee bit enid blyton, etc"

Sort of when people are discussing their homes and someone says 'oh yes, our 800 yr old building is such a hassle"

It's kind of ok, but ever so slightly braggy.
The drool/lol is in response to that. I can't explain it any better!

I slobber and drool over so many Mumsnet posts that I now only read AIBU in the shower or standing over a wipe clean surface.

TheBreezeTheBreeze · 01/05/2025 23:02

Seriously if no one admits to getting it, I will happily bow out. Only having a bit of fun.

Eye roll is more appropriate 🙄

Unless you mean 🤪

CuttedPearPie · 01/05/2025 23:13

There are only a handful of situations in life that would make me drool and none of the examples you've given qualify.
I'm not getting this!!!

Blarn · 01/05/2025 23:15

Hmm you need one of these.

Housemouse245 · 01/05/2025 23:16

I’m also struggling to understand, I’d never drool in that situation!

Zanzara · 01/05/2025 23:25

No idea.

Turmerictolly · 01/05/2025 23:27

Yes I think the eye roll would be more appropriate in those situations. Drooling suggests you want something.

steff13 · 02/05/2025 00:54

I bet an 800-year-old building is a hassle, though.

EmmaJane2025 · 02/05/2025 01:07

Drool? Drooling is a reaction to something you lust after or want to eat….

Ah right. THAT drooling. <backs away slowly> 😜

ButWhere · 02/05/2025 01:22

I don't think "slobber" would have the desired effect. Eye roll or yawn, maybe.

sparklyruby · 02/05/2025 04:43

Do you mean droll???!

AlleyRose · 02/05/2025 05:54

EmmaJane2025 · 02/05/2025 01:07

Absolutely this. I would never associate any of your examples with drooling?

BonfireToffee · 02/05/2025 06:17

Have you ever snapped and farted, OP?
