4 year old passport with baby photo?!

Hi,

I’ve googled and think I have reassured myself about this but I just wanted to quickly post as I’m not 100% sure! My little girl’s passport was issued in 2022 when she was only 12 months old, so her photo is very clearly one of a baby. She’s now (just turned) 4 years old and we are going on holiday next month with said passport because it doesn’t expire until 2027. Obviously, she looks nothing like her passport photo anymore (well, she has the same general face shape and smile but she’s obviously a little girl now as opposed to a baby!). Everything I’ve read in a quick google tells me this is fine and it doesn’t matter, as the passport is valid for 5 years regardless of the child’s resemblance to their photo. Is this correct? Does anyone have experience of travelling with a small child who has a baby photo on their passport, and was this questioned?? I’m starting to panic now! Thank you for any advice / reassurance!

We were told they look at the eyes by a customs agent when we took our (at the time) 4 year old through on a passport photo taken at about 3 months old.

She travelled plenty of times on the passport with no issues.

We always joked that any white child of either sex couljd have used ds passport ! Passport photo of a bald 3 month old , he used it until it expired and by then he had long blond hair. All fine- lots of trips.
