Advice on Sole Trader & Insurance

Wondering if someone can offer any advice on this as I can’t find a definitive answer online:

I am a sole trader responsible for producing take offs
I am contracted and work for a few companies but mainly one which provides most of my income
I issue the work to the customers under the umbrella of the company eg I have a company email address
customers agree to the companies terms and conditions before I complete the work

my question is, should I have my own insurance? Eg if there was an error made could the end customer sue me rather than the company I am contracting for?

I suppose it depends on what your line of work is to which insurance you'd require.

But even if the end company sues the company that you contract for, you as a self employed person could inturn be sued by the company you are contracting for. If you see what I mean.

So yes, just enquire and see if you need to be insured, better to be prepared.

Look at Hiscox business insurance.

I wouldn't do any work as a sole trader without my own insurance in place.
