Big Boobs but not good boobs

Does anyone else have big boobs but not good boobs?

I am a 38FF/G and as one bra fitter in M&S said - all my weight is at the bottom and not at the top 😏

I have very well fitting bra's - I go to Bravissimo, they are kept nice and contained but I very rarely get any cleavage. I tried a lovely dress on in M&S at the weekend - V neck and it just looked awful. All my bra was showing, I'd need to wear a camisole underneath

For those of you who also have this issue - how do you manage it? I cannot bear the thought of a padded bra.

You need a plunge style bra for deep v necklines. This style should push the boobs into some semblance of cleavage. Bravissimo should be able to help you find something suitable and not padded.

I have these, big old floppers.

Try a wide range of bras from other shops. I find M&S bras very weird. Go to Bravissimo and have some fittings, tell them youd like more cleavage. A friend of mine always goes for the monoboob sports bra look as that’s what she likes. There will be something that suits you.

I do have a couple of plunge bra's from Elomi which I love, but still no cleavage really. The thing is if I wear a rounded neck top then they look even bigger and sometimes feel like they are an extension of my neck 😂 I used to dream about a boob job, but honestly now it would be a toss up between getting a boob job or sorting out my massive apron of a stomach (I had twins 6 years ago)

I'm big in the boobs and never really knew my correct size so went to Bravissimo to get measured but they only had two bras in measured size, neither of which fitted correctly.

I saw someone on Instagram that goes all out on badly fitting bras, they explained how to do the measurements so I gave it a go. Went into YOURS clothing and tried on a few, I don't like underwired or padded bras.

Came out with two perfectly fitting bras.

Most big boobs are not good boobs - I'm 38E and they drooped when I was a teenager. Those things that are huge but also defy gravity are mostly a fiction created by porn and implants.

Totally agree. Thanks to porn nobody realises big boobs do not stare directly ahead. Flopping is normal.
Even the few actresses who haven’t had boob jobs and show their real boobs in sex scenes are small boobed women so normal big boobs are never seen.
I remember a bit in a book where the lead character is worried because she has been told that if you put a pencil under your boobs and it is held there your boobs aren’t perky enough.
I could probably hold an entire pencil case under mine.

I’ve given up and just wear industrial strength padded underwire sports bras as I really hate wobble! Don’t want a cleavage, want to draw attention away from the damn things as much as possible. I used to get Freya bras from boobydoo but they seem to have discontinued the white ones, I don’t like nude or black very much.

JustMeHello · 25/04/2025 14:08

All boobs are good boobs.

WobblyBoots · 25/04/2025 14:10

I hear you. I wear a really good bra (the only one style that fits me on repeat) to keep them manageable. But it means deep v necks or strappy tops are out of my reach!

I've tried a few plunge bras but the result was devastating 😂 My boobs are too saggy and loose and sort of spilled out like liquid.

Im trying to be at one with it!

NinjaMad · 25/04/2025 14:14

All boobs are good boobs!
Go back to Bravissimo or brastop.com and see what they suggest for a cleavage. Generally, padded plunge and side support help.

GRex · 25/04/2025 14:26

From Bravissimo have you tried the Millie bra? I find it the comfiest with good support, and only a tinge of lace by v-neck which can be colour coordinated with clothes.

I'm not sure what kind of cleavage you want, as maybe I like a softer style. The Panache bras tend to shove my boobs too close together, so if the Millie style is too separated then maybe best to try on some of their plunge style ones. Gossard still exist too, you could try that, back to the originals?

GRex · 25/04/2025 14:27

I would also bet your boobs are fine if they've been fitted, and perhaps you're being over sensitive. Few people have a perfect round shape to start with, and even fewer once they get past age 20.

DisapprovingSpaniel · 25/04/2025 14:34

I've gone a different way. 36G and recently discovered Triumph's minimiser bra which I love. I feel far less matronly in it because it kind of flattens my boobs but in a way I think looks natural under clothing. Tops hang better and the girls get in the way less.

NinjaMad · 25/04/2025 14:36

Bras really vary so I would try again with plunge and padding as they are not all created equal, also make sure the shoulder strap is shortened for maximum lift

Nugg · 25/04/2025 15:01

I am 36H and Balconette bras give me the most oomph

lunaemma · 25/04/2025 15:03

Bravissimo Delilah gives me really good lift
Satine or Niya for cleavage (I used to love the satine but I’m a 34KK and sized out!)

TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis · 25/04/2025 15:10

All boobs are good boobs? Nah, once they've settled down post breastfeeding half of mine are going in the bin. (Half of each boob, not one boob).

I don't need to be told my boobs are good boobs. I need them to be at least 40% smaller so that I can dress normally, exercise normally and not face a depressing wall of beige just to keep them manageable.
