Just looking for people’s experiences of having a bleph?

I will be turning 40 next year and almost 4 years of sleep deprivation with DC has aged me by about 10 years not to mention my naturally heavy lids. I am considering having a bleph would love to hear from others who had one.

I haven’t but a good friend had it on both eyes, early 50s. Amazing difference and no complications. She had it done on the NHS as her eyes were getting quite hooded and it affected her vision.

Bumping for any experiences 😊

Thinking of having this done, not sure where to look to get independent reviews but signature clinic has been mentioned - anyone have experience of them or recommend someone in Surrey/south London. Upper eye only.

I’ve researched this too and been told that the danger is you’ve decided you need this due to social media. Any surgery you have should be at the identification and recommendation of an expert in that field… plus I’ve heard the trend next year will be fat transfer into the eyes to give a youthful appearance rather than hollow.

Yes, upper. Couldn't be happier with it and recovery was minimal, no pain, although short term I had very purple eyes for a week! Brilliant surgeon.

Liked the idea of lower and getting rid of my Deputy Dawg look but the procedure is different and sounded like too much risk. Allegedly water and a jade roller can sort it out a bit anyway but I keep forgetting.

BEST thing I ever did!!!!!!! I'd wanted it for years, was so fed up of people saying i looked tired when I certainly didn't feel it!! Bit the bullet when my mamager asked why I was in a mood 😭
I actually went abroad for mine. Only thing I regret is not doing it sooner!!

I had a lower ten years ago because I had a lot of syringoma under both eyes and this is really the only treatment for it. Minimal downtime, easy recovery (no pain) delighted with the results. Considering an upper in the next few years as am getting a bit “hoody” there.

Please don’t hesitate. If you want it and can afford it, go for it.

What rubbish!
I've had genetic bags (as in, big half circles) under my eyes since I was a child, I was constantly told I looked tired. I realised my upper eyes were becoming hooded when I could no longer see the eye shadow I was putting on, and could no longer do a winged liner because of the crease. Both well before social media.

I'd love to get both done, though I'm not sure whether lower would actually work, ie whether it is something that could be changed with surgery or might be limited due to the underlying bone structure.

augustusglupe · 23/11/2025 23:47

Yes, 9 years ago, I was 52. I had my upper lids done.
I was very bruised for the first week but healed well and 2-3 weeks on you wouldn’t have even known I’d had an op.
I’m still glad I had it done and my eyes haven’t aged much atall.

I have and it’s fantastic, dread to think how my eyes would look now if I hadn’t
. whereabouts are you?

Louis Spence had an upper done a few months ago and his recovery was amazingly quick. Have a look at his insta

meganorks · 24/11/2025 00:23

Considering upper, so watching with interest...

GalaxyAddict · 24/11/2025 00:24

I had terrible under eye bags, I couldn’t even look at my own reflection, I felt utterly hideous. I looked into surgery, but I just felt overwhelmed with options of who to go with. I then spoke to a reputable dermatologist filler expert, and somehow managed to put fillers in my cheeks and various other areas and the eye bags have got, all for £300. I actually like myself again now.
