To pay off a 0% credit card in full before the 0% period ends?

I know the whole point of a 0% credit card is to spread the payments out and keep the money in savings but I don’t like having debt hanging over me. Would it be smarter to just pay it off now or is it better to take advantage of the interest-free period for as long as possible? What do you do?

I don't like having stuff to do hanging over me either. So if I could afford it I would pay it off.

I put the equivalent of what would be CC payments in a regular saver, treat it like paying off the debt.
Lat year I booked a couple of holidays on a 0% CC. I do have the money to pay it off right this minute, but I’ll wait till August. What I did was kept my savings in a high interest account for the year and used the ‘free money’ on the CC.
The CC is due in August. In July a regular saver account matures, the lump sum is enough to pay off the CC in August. The interest I gained always goes towards spending money when I’m on holiday.

I’m paying as much as I can into an account that pays interest - I will then use it to clear the card when the 0% period ends.
i know what you mean - the temptation to just clear it so it isn’t hanging over me is there, but I’m trying over-ride that and do what feels more sensible. If it overwhelms me too much I’ll just start paying the card off instead. Or if I’m ever tempted to use the money for something else. Depends on how much headspace it’s taking up i guess.
