Yes

booksandbakinglover · 04/04/2025 11:15

Absolutely!

Just make sure, as with all reheating, it is piping hot, as previously frozen potatoes tend to have a crystallised texture until they are really hot. People often give up before this stage thinking that potatoes simply don't freeze well.

yeesh · 04/04/2025 11:39

Yep

BobbyBiscuits · 04/04/2025 11:40

Why wouldn't you be able to? I freeze all my stews and they always have potatoes in. It's all so wet anyway it's not like it goes noticeably soggy on reheating?

curious79 · 04/04/2025 11:41

Yes! Love a bit of reheated stew

tansysmum · 04/04/2025 11:59

I think it actually improves on freezing/reheating

StartAnew · 04/04/2025 12:00

I froze some strew with really tough meat and it was tender on reheating, the spuds may be mushy but still nice.

Denverdoll · 04/04/2025 14:37

Thanks everyone. Gonna do it!

Go for it. The only thing I wouldn't freeze is dumplings for it.

coxesorangepippin · 04/04/2025 14:52

Yes but it'll be minging when you reheat it
