To donate unused sanpro

I've got a bag full of various products, leftover from pre-menooause; probably a good £10-15 worth. Would it be awful to bring it to work? I remember well the panic of being caught short, but equally I don't want to gross people out. YABU: just bin it, you goblin. YANBU: there is nothing gross about unused sanpro, and COL dictates you can't just bin it.

We have baskets in the ladies toilets at work for exactly this, and the stuff does seem to go.

As long as everything is individually wrapped I'm sure people would be grateful.

CrazylazyJane · 03/04/2025 08:38

Absolutely take it into work. We had a box in our staff toilets that we all knew had emergency supplies in it and it saved my skin several times.

6namechange3 · 03/04/2025 08:38

Just leave it in a little tub or basket by the sinks in the loo, my work has a basket with a few pads etc in, handy if you be get caught out. As long as they are individually wrapped products doesn't matter if the larger pack has been opened

TyneTeas · 03/04/2025 08:38

Some food banks will also take this

Doingtheboxerbeat · 03/04/2025 08:39

It will be gone in no time.

Coffeeishot · 03/04/2025 08:41

Leave them in the toilets at work, it's a great idea. Re food banks they tend to just take unopened packets.

Thank you all!! ❤️

We have bags on the back of each cubicle with san pro. They would be very much appreciated in my work place.

onwardsup4 · 03/04/2025 14:38

I like to see this in places, salons etc. So useful! This reminds me I saw that someone had dumped a load of tampons in the duck pond yesterday, idiots!

Coffeeishot · 03/04/2025 14:59

It's quite common to see it in public buildings in Scotland I'm sure the Scottish government have legislation to beat period poverty , I can't quite remember but most places have them in the women's toilets and in school toilets

Laszlomydarling · 03/04/2025 15:07

Why would anyone think it was gross? It would be a terrible waste to throw it away. Absolutely leave it at work, or in any public bathrooms.

purplecorkheart · 03/04/2025 15:10

I cannot see why anyone would find it gross. I would be delighted if that happened in my workplace.
