Annoying kids outside all the time

Any tips on how to deter kids hanging around outside for hours on end? I know it’s great to see kids outside but I’m fed up of my car and house getting hit by a football. My 3 year old can’t sleep and keeps asking what all the noise is. Going out to talk to them made it worse. The Dad is never home and I don’t want to approach him as I feel like he would tell me to do one. I spoke to someone at the HA and they said nothing they can do as they are just kids. This is every day from 3.45-9.00 pm in summer. Kids are 10 and 11. Hoping soon they would be allowed to go off the estate? I don’t know what age parents let kids go off?

Honestly it seems like a pretty normal time for them to be out but hitting your car with a football is not on.

I would approach the dad and not talk about them being out thats causing the issue but the fact that they are hitting your car with the football.

If someone approached me about my kids being out playing and making noise id also tell them to do one.

One of those high pitched sound devices that only kids and bats can hear?

Yup - outside is great and nothing you can or should do about it. But no one should be hitting your stuff.

Talk to the parents, and explain to them they are damaging your property and you won't tolerate it.

But.. you're kid is only 3. Soon you will understand how you sound when complaining about kids playing.

Move your child's bedroom to the other side of possible (eg from front to back). 9pm does seem late for that age group, it's still dark then. The football hitting your car is an issue, could you politely approach the dad about that? I know some parents wouldn't give a shit though unfortunately.

Seriously have some thanks that these kids are outside playing and not indoors being mindfucked by Tate or burning their synapses into the ether on some violent game. Your three year old will soon be 13 and you’ll feel differently I promise. Buy them a bouncing net from decathlon to use as a goal and they will be your best friends forever…

It would annoy me too OP and I think it’s a bit much every day from after school till 9pm. Don’t these kids have things to do? Afterschool clubs and sports? Homework? Chores? Help to cook tea? My 10-12 year olds are in bed for 9pm definitely not hanging around outside someone else’s house making noise and hitting their car with a football everyday.

There's no magic age. All kids and all parents are different.

When I had this problem I bought the kids a sponge football and they happily played with it.

Any chance that might work?

Talk to the dad about them hitting your car/house. Being outside playing is fine, damaging your property isn’t.

I'm not sure how the OP would know really.
