To leave social housing to private rent.

I’ve made threads about my social housing flat
Ground floor, adapted, ridiculously small kitchen and full of what they describe as “condensation”

I keep complaining, asking them for a move and I’m getting nowhere just being stuck on their allocations bidding list when their larger properties only go to homeless nominations

I am depressed, anxious, miserable and full of anger. I can’t exchange, decorating has been a waste of time as the mould has just ruined it all

Has anyone got any experience of leaving a social housing property for a private rental?

I know you feel trapped and want to move but I really wouldn’t leave the low rent of ha v private renting

I’ve had friends having to move 3 times in 5yrs due to landlords selling tho they swear they went long term tenants

are uou on any house swap sites esp I’d have an adapted flat

are ha saying it’s big enough as you can sleep in living room and dd in big bedroom

i didn’t get dd age but can you get like a cabin /mid rise bed so use storage underneath to help with space

They said damp is poor ventilation
I followed their damp instructions to a T
Ive got air vents, a dehumidifier, an extractor fan

And now they want to drop off clocks to tell me when to open a window due to humidity levels when my dehumidifier tells me how humid it is. I don’t want them coming round. I’ve had 7 damp inspections since 2022.

No one wants it. It’s too small. The kitchens unusable, there is no storage.

I’m going to go to the M.E.N tomorrow. Fuck it. I’ve nothing left to lose anymore.
