To ask if you are going to see Coldplay at Wembley Stadium this summer

I'm not, was checking the website for the play off dates. They are there for ten nights, so that's about 3/4 million people or thereabouts.

Appreciating that liking them can be the social equivalent of driving a Skoda in the 1980s, but even so, is anyone on MN going?

I'd rather eat warm vomit tbh.

FuggoUggo · 28/03/2025 18:15

I am, im thinking of selling my tickets though. We have standing tickets and I just don’t fancy it. Currently on AXS though there’s no sell option so I have time to think about it but I’m already going to two Wembley concerts this year, we live in the midlands and I’m just not sure I can be bothered!

Gingercatlover · 28/03/2025 21:06

Nope! Couldn’t get tickets ☹️

Emmz1510 · 28/03/2025 21:55

I’m not going- too far away and expensive for us but what’s wrong with liking Coldplay? Clearly millions do and I don’t understand the stick they get

YourBestFriend · 28/03/2025 21:57

Thanks but no, thanks.

Would treat my partner but the prices are ludicrous and I can't justify paying so much when we have more pressing matters.

hmm I was feeling the same and started building a "checker" for myself to check if tickets are coming back for sales on ticketmaster with the prices that I could pay... to be honest I couldn't buy one (cause my card limit wasn't enough when I had them in the cart at last!). Anyway, my service is running with telegram notifications now and they are going to my partner as well so we can pick it up whenever we got it and purchase it asap.
Once I built it, I started adding bits and bobs onto it, and I think it became like a thing now... I hope this helps people to get the tickets they want... as I did for Wimbledon tickets! :)
Not sure if I'm allowed to give links here but if anyone can let me know if they are interested in trying the thing that I think I built, I'm happy to share...

DD loves them so we went twice last year before Wembley dates were announced - in Lyon and Dublin. Brilliant show both times, but my bank balance won't stand a third go, so I've had to put my foot down. They put on a great show worth attending, even if you're not a huge fan, which I'm not especially.

purpleme12 · 01/06/2025 02:58

I would love to see Coldplay

Wish I was going to see them

EachandEveryone · 31/08/2025 01:29

I saw them tonight and I wasn’t a massive fan beforehand but they were incredible. Absolutely fantastic. He seems so genuine. I hope he is 😀

PussInBin20 · 31/08/2025 02:00

I went on Wednesday, took my DD (15) this time. Such an amazing show, everyone so happy!

TokyoSushi · 31/08/2025 07:27

Tamega · 31/08/2025 07:49

catgirl1976 · 31/08/2025 07:51

i I am Head of HR at our company and bad things seem to happen to us at Coldplay concerts

Also I can’t bear them

kc3708 · 31/08/2025 07:59

I went last night and also saw them at the Ethiad two years ago - epic! I loved every second of it

EachandEveryone · 31/08/2025 08:25

Not the thread for you then perhaps..

We travelled to see them on Wednesday. Totally brilliant energy throughout 👏

LlynTegid · 31/08/2025 10:27

The RMT don't like them it seems judging by the timing of Underground strikes. Coldplay have rescheduled two of the dates.

DH and I went last Tuesday, and again last Wednesday with our 12 year old DS. We both logged into Ticketmaster and both got lucky and managed to get tickets, albeit the seats in Tuesday were way up the top nearly at the back of the stadium.

Both times Coldplay were absolutely fantastic. Probably the best big format concerts we’ve been to, and we go to quite a lot. Even better than Dua Lippa who we saw at Wembley earlier in the summer and was also fantastic, and miles better than Beyoncé who we saw a few months ago at Tottenham who was really disappointing - lots of props and razzmatazz but she didn’t talk to the audience at all - no engagement or personality came through.

BlueMum16 · 31/08/2025 10:33

We're going this weekend. Had tickets for Sunday and now rearranged for Saturday. Luckily had booked trains Saturday to Monday and hotels with free cancellation.

Really looking forward to it.

As for PP who said they are expensive, our seats were £85 each plus fees.

I really don't think it is 'that' expensive. Yes all the travel and hotel have made it expensive but the concert itself not so much

Queenage · 01/09/2025 11:04

I went last night, wasn’t much of a fan but bloody hell I am now - it was brilliant

SwingTheMonkey · 01/09/2025 11:18

We went last week and then again last night. It was incredible. 80k people happy, singing and not giving a shit what the sneerers think of us liking Coldplay!

stanleypops66 · 01/09/2025 11:36

We went at the weekend. It was amazing. The lights were incredible. Had a slight issue that when we were coming through security there were no bracelets left and dd was upset (it’s a big part of the show). Asked someone and they said go to X area. Went there and there was none and a big queue of people complaining. Turned out they’d been handing out 2 to most people, which I saw as I was walking around. I kindly asked 3 different people if they’d mind giving us one as they had 2, and they did!

TheTwenties · 01/09/2025 11:50

Went last week with DH, adult DD & her BF - it was every bit as fab as I expected. Saw them about 8 years ago - also fantastic.

Lindy2 · 01/09/2025 12:01

We were there on Tuesday. It's a fantastic show. Such energy and happiness radiating from everyone.

Have fun all those who are going to see it.
