Lapland UK 9 and 11 year old boys

Will it be worth it? 9 year old believes, 11 year old starts high school in September and is skeptical now and will not believe come Xmas. Will he still enjoy? Anyone any experience?

Or do I put my money towards a day in Disney Land Paris? In and out one weekend in December.

Thanks!

Following as my kids will be same ages and we are considering Lapland UK as will be last time we do something significant for Xmas due to their ages!

I really enjoyed it with little ones - mine are 4 and 7. It’s magical but I’m not sure a secondary school age child would love some
of the singing and things - depends on their personality and whether they find that stuff embarrassing.

Mine are currently 9 and 11 and I think they are too old. We took them last year and even then they were pushing it though it had them absolutely convinced. I wouldn’t take my eldest once she’d started high school

I agree with this, I loved it with my 7 year old but I'm not sure how much the oldest would get out of it.

Although, if it were me and the last year I really thought I would get the chance I would probably do it anyway. I'm sure they would enjoy the ice skating, but there are maybe parts of it they wouldn't like.

You know your kids best, my 12 year old niece would love it, my 12 year old nephew would hate it. There's probably no hard and fast rule.

Definitely DLP! Imo it's an event for young kids.

Mine are just a bit younger than yours and I was set on taking them last year - until I saw the prices! I realised for the cost of just a few hours and the fact we would need to travel there and book a hotel we would be able to have a city break for the same money.
A friend took her children (son is a bit older than mine so was 10 at the time) and said he wasn't really into it (she also has a younger child who loved it). It was also very busy when she went and quite crowded with a queue to see Santa.
The other thing that stopped me was the questions, my son would question everything - the fake snow, the story about being selected and travelling through the portal (look it up if you've not seen it). There was a programme on channel 4 about it and that confirmed to me that we made the right choice in not going.
