To think that people who are constantly “self-reflecting” are just trying to avoid actual change?

At some point, talking about your problems becomes more comfortable than solving them.

What do you mean by constantly self-reflecting? Is this a pop at people who go to therapy?

And this statement is based on what evidence?

Well, maybe you've embraced brevity and it's working out for you in which case I'm pleased, but we're going to need a bit more detail to go on if you want a discussion.

FaithFables · 24/03/2025 17:17

Are you going to namechange and ask the same question in a different way without context constantly? Or perhaps tell us what the frickin problem is and people can actually answer your question! 🙄

Yet another very strange post. Like a few others recently as PP says. You won’t get any helpful responses until you share some specifics. If that’s actually what you’re wanting.
Or are you talking in code for a reason?

Observation and experience. Have you never met someone who’s always “working on themselves” but never actually changes?

I know that self reflection can take years before seeing any results or outcomes. Self reflection is not a quick fix. Anyone who thinks that is in for a shock. As a person self reflects they are undoing years and years of history. It is not an easy journey. Buddha took 6 years of wandering before sitting under the bodhie tree to meditate.

Naval gazing is quite a privileged thing to be able to do. Most of us need to do something or get something achieved and need to therefore make changes in our lives quickly.

Behavioural change has a lot of power behind it, spend too much talking and thinking about it and it will never happen.
