AIBU to Think My Feet Are Betraying Me?

So, after losing 4 stone on Mounjaro (yay me!), I decided to celebrate the slightly warmer weather by slipping into my favorite ballet pumps. Except… my right one promptly fell off. I kid you not, there is an entire inch of space in it now!

I’ve been a size 7 since I was 12, so the idea that my feet have shrunk is blowing my mind. I tried the highly scientific method of drawing around them to compare, and they look the same size. My partner even tried to measure them, but she tickles me even when she’s trying not to, which resulted in me repeatedly kicking her (not on purpose, obviously).

I’m now considering going to a shoe shop to get my feet measured, but do they even do that for adults? Am I going to have to pretend I’m a very large 10-year-old? Also, if I lose more weight, will my feet continue their disappearing act, or am I doomed to be permanently lopsided?

Has anyone else experienced this, or am I just one step away from madness?

They do my giant children still get their feet measured the biggest is an adult 12 😜

I have a few years before I have kids with such big feet it never dawned on me! Do you get kids shoes at kids prices in those sizes?

No! They all were in adult sized shoes in primary school. Costs a fortune as they all play football, go to athletics and need school shoes and then normal shoes. As they grew so quickly they were often out of sizes. Sadly vinted wasn't around then!

Oh no that's painful on the pocket! I hope they have calmed down on the growing now ❤️

Running shops are not easy for the overweight to go into it's not so easy I'm interested in other options before I put myself in that position. It's a great suggestion though thank you ❤️

It was just a Nike outlet store - all sorts of folk in there! Though you can also buy measuring gauges online but that's a bit drastic.
Well done on the weight loss by the way!
