The person eating pasta at the pool...

It was me. I know it was weird. I kind of hid it in my coat which made it weirder and look like I was some sort of compulsive eater. Also felt massively unhygienic. A chocolate bar or crisps is normal in the spectator seats, but full on pasta in a tupperware!!!??? But I didn't have any other time and I hate cold pasta. If I'd eaten it in my car 4 year old dd wouldn't have had me watching her lesson. Sorry, so sorry to be the weird secret pasta shoveller...

Sooooo...what's the oddest place you've ever had dinner?

Cold pasta is a thing (pasta salad). When I used to take my kids swimming there was a cafe attached so eating near the pool was normal.

Brushing teeth publicly in a swimming pool shower is absolutely revolting and I’d be having a word with the manager about it if someone was regularly doing that with their kids.

Eating pasta in a pool spectator area to me depends on the set up. At my kids’ lessons there’s a single row of narrow bench seats poolside, usually all occupied. I really wouldn’t appreciate the smell etc of someone eating a hot dinner sat literally next to me and the centre wouldn’t allow it anyway as no food or drink except water allowed. If your pool has more of a cafe set up or enough seats to sit far apart not bothering anyone and it permits food then go for it. I personally wouldn’t, I’d eat later (if necessary using a microwave to reheat the pasta) but if you aren’t bothering anyone else I don’t see any need to be hiding it under your coat.

Why? It’s efficient!

I used to feed the kids at the pool, shower them, straight into pjs then home for teeth and bed

I shower and put my son in his pjs after his swimming lesson too and sometimes do his dinner there.. saves me so much faff at home!

Personally I prefer to eat in proper circumstances plate, cutlery so I would have had a snack to tide me over. I don't rush meals. But needs must so you do you. Why do you care what others think?

Although I confess I have misophonia so I could not have sat next to you.

I mean dirty was an attempt at humour but also, the humidity, the bare hairy bods, the wet floors...not exactly conducive to feeling like eating a meal was hygienic.

You seem to be trying very hard to be krazy, but it's not really "massively unhygienic" to be eating pasta near a swimming pool.

I witnessed a very obviously pregnant colleague eat a whole meal deal whilst sat behind counsel in court and in full view of the judges, other solicitor and witnesses.

And I don’t fucking blame her.

I sincerely hope that a video of a person furtively eating coat pasta pops up on my TikTok FYP. 😂

But you choked it down regardless? 🤷🏻‍♀️

It depends what you mean by a meal iv eaten a sandwich in a pharmacy queue as it was taking ages and it was during my lunch break. Eating by a pool i wouldn't blink at. The only time iv looked twice was someone walking down the street Eating a bowl of cereal but that was during lockdown and people had pretty much lost the plot at that point so wasn't that weird
