Sorry for posting under AIBU, but I'm stressing out trying to find a hotel when I actually don't know what I'm looking for! So we're going to the minecraft experience in London next month, the address is Corner Corner, Maritime St, London SE16 7LL. In Canada water. I've never been to London and am travelling from South wales. After searching for hotels using the postcode, so many hotels come up, but does anyone know what the best area would be for easy and quick access to the event? If anyone could help me, I'd be so grateful 🙏

You could consider staying in Greenwich - a few stops or a short bus ride to Canada Water. Also, what about driving to the London suburbs and leaving the car there and then the train or tube in?

I was thinking of driving there, but I'm also considering getting the train. I've heard it's a nightmare to drive around London. Would anyone advise against driving there?

Definitely advise against driving.

Also, for transport information, have you downloaded the TFL app?
And if you are in Greenwich there are lots of other attractions to visit owing to its maritime history.

Don't drive.
If you want you can park at one of the hounslow stations near m4 and get tube from there.

The Hilton Doubletree on Rotherhithe Street has parking and is quite pleasant. Walking distance or 10 mins on the bus to Canada Water.

I spent ages looking yesterday but ended up at the Premier Inn as usual.
We park at Westfield (White City) and just use the tubes.
Parking anywhere else is expensive.

I mean this kindly, if you cannot figure out how to locate a hotel yourself (and I totally get it if you’re unfamiliar with London) you are absolutely not prepared for the sheer hell that is driving in London!!! Get the train.

Don’t drive; getting to that side of London from S Wales is hideous. Train to Paddington (look at the Friends and Family railcard). There are lots of hotels near Paddington, and it’s really well connected to get around London.

dont drive and another vote for a premier inn
