To ask her to remove the tag?

I try to keep my DC face and personal info off social media. We’re currently at a small holiday park (10 lodges in total) and my DSis and her family are there. She has checked us in and said family holiday etc and put the location tag. AIBU to be worried that hundreds of people might see it? I try to only post we are on holiday or somewhere after we’ve left, if I do at all. Will it be mad of me if I ask her to remove the tag? Please be honest, not sure if I’m being OTT

My parents got broken into when they announced their holiday. It's asking for trouble

Did they only announce it on social media or did they tell people in person as well?

Is there any evidence of someone not telling anyone in person and only posting on social media they are going away and then getting burgled?

@marcopront "Did they only announce it on social media or did they tell people in person as well?

Is there any evidence of someone not telling anyone in person and only posting on social media they are going away and then getting burgled?"

Or any evidence that it was because of the social media announcement rather than the house looking empty?

You can change your settings so people can't tag you on stuff on Facebook.

Exactly

I am sure it is a better use of a burglar!s time checking out houses that look empty rather than trawling social media looking for posts saying "I am on holiday" or "my friend is on holiday " and then finding out the address. Even after the burglar finds the address they still have to check the house is empty anyway.

Set your privacy settings so people can't tag you without your permission.
