Should this be reported as a data/ privacy policy breach?

My daughter is a member of a local sports club. Recently I have had some concerns about the club and the way it is being run. I know these clubs are run by volunteers so I cannot expect complete professionalism but at the same time I have witnessed a number of concerning incidents (not towards my child).

I was on their website which is only partially complete and very few parts are working, looking for some of their policies on safeguarding and Equality & Diversion. Whilst there I came across a policy which parents were asked to sign a few months ago and enter their children's name, DOB etc. All this information is available to see for everyone online - a long list of parents, their child's name, DOB and other identifying detail.
Is this acceptable or a clear data breach or am I overreacting?

I am reluctant to mention it to anyone at the club as I am concerned about the repercussions for my child.

Definitely mention it. It will likely be a genuine error - there will be ‘private’ parts of the website for admins/volunteers, and public parts. It’s just ended up in the wrong bit. If you raise it and they do nothing to resolve, then your concerns are not unfounded and they will need reporting (to governing body if there is one).

Absolutely not unreasonable. Give them a chance to correct it. It is definitely a breach.
