To think I am a bit of a loser for not having hobbies?

All I do is work full time and parent DC who is a pre schooler. I spend time with family and occasionally meet friends but other than that, I cannot say I have a proper hobby and I am a bit ashamed of it. My life feels very busy already and I do not know how people also manage to fit exciting hobbies in their schedules with work and small children.
Is it too late for me? What hobbies do you have and is there anythting you discovered later in life?

When my kids were that age my hobby was sleeping.

I am now older and so are my kids and I have loads of hobbies. When they get older you have to keep them occupied!

I think it’s completly normal when you have younger kids. Mine are a bit older and I still haven’t got my “hobbies” back but I do make it to the theatre and cinema more now and out with friends for dinner. But it’s only just coming back gradually

Agree with pp, I didn’t have hobbies when kids were that age. It’s survival mode. Only really started a little bit when they were in school / a little older and still plenty of time. It’s never too late

No girl, your life sounds full enough, take time to enjoy it 🥰

I'm 50 and don't really have any. Unless you count reading, sleeping, eating, relaxation and Netflix Grin
Sometimes I feel embarrassed too. But do you know what, single parenthood and full-time work take up enough of my time! And I'm not harming anyone.

When my children were young I didn't have time for hobbies. If I had any free time in between working and looking after children and doing housework/shopping/cooking, I'd usually have a night out or lunch or coffee and catch up with a friend. Weekends were usually taken up with visiting family, taking the children to activities or parties or having a day out as a family. It was only once they were a bit older that I found time for hobbies - I've always been a reader though and always managed to have a book on the go.

I wouldn't worry that you don't have time at the moment, life is busy when you have little ones!

I haven’t had hobbies for years. Unless you include reading or doom scrolling.
