AIBU to think buying a gift for a second marriage is bloody impossible.

Do I just give them cash?

Couple in their 40s. No registry. Why is there no registry!!!

If you got married again what gift did you want the most? Budget 2/300. Not family but oldest childhood friends.

I'd spend £300 on a beautiful vase or fruit bowl

They got everything so money. Easier for you and surely appreciated by them.

Gift voucher for afternoon tea

It just seems like such an I can’t be arsed gift but if that’s what people appreciate?

Restaurantvouchers
John Lewis vouchers as there’s also something needed in a house or things you wouldn’t often buy yourself like nice bedding
crate of wine
annual membership for a local attraction or the national trust

We said no gifts, we meant it. Most people did obey! We got some champagne, a couple of picture frames, and some John Lewis vouchers plus we collected 50kg of food for the food bank

You’re a much better person than me minnie.

John Lewis vouchers might work.

To your taste or theirs?

You'd have wasted your money buying me that as my dh has serious butter fingers & would have smashed it before the ink dried on the registry book.

This is the thing. I love crystal but most don’t. Would it be wrong to buy my friend a beautiful pair of Tiffany earrings that I know she’ll love and put some John Lewis vouchers in an envelope for her husband I’ve only met a dozen times?
