Hi op, if you copy and paste his results into chat gpt it can translate them for you into medical terms I did this for my own sons Smile

BEH2016 · 06/03/2025 11:41

Thank you how do I do this? I’m new on here x

Go onto your App Store and download " chat gpt" then follow the subtractions to download Smile

Look fairly normal to me. His neutrophils are slightly low. But not worryingly so. Everything else indicated is only just out of range.

BEH2016 · 06/03/2025 11:54

Thank you would you get them to repeat in a few weeks? X

The ones with the red ! are out of range but ony just. If you follow along the line you get the rest and then the normal range is in brackets afterwards. So his haemoglobin is 117 and the normal range is 120 to 140.

Hobnobswantshernameback · 06/03/2025 11:59

You really should be careful asking absolute randomers on a forum to tell you stuff like this.
Someone who knows nothing could tell you they are fine or vice versa based on zero knowledge.
Please speak face to face with a qualified medical professional preferably the one that requested the blood tests.

Scirocco · 06/03/2025 12:06

You need to speak with a healthcare professional who is familiar with your son's case, including his past history, examination findings and any previous blood results for comparison and pattern recognition. If you're concerned 3 weeks is too long to wait (eg if there are new symptoms emerging), then you need to contact the GP and explain your concerns - they can then either reassure you that it's still ok to wait for the appointment in 3 weeks or they can try to arrange a sooner appointment. If you can't get through to your GP and your son starts feeling worse, you can also contact 111 for advice if needed.

I hope your son's feeling ok in himself and not too worried, it can be stressful waiting for appointments.

Thank you all currently trying to get an app with my husbands private healthcare as our GP practice are refusing to see us for three weeks and that’s over the phone x

If the results were cause for concern they would be discussing with you sooner. X

Dramatic · 06/03/2025 12:20

None of that looks massively concerning, the ones that are out of range are only just out of range so it's probably a reaction to the latest infection. If anything was majorly out of the norm they wouldn't make you wait 3 weeks

TheEllisGreyMethod · 06/03/2025 12:20

If they were concerned you wouldn't be waiting 3 weeks.
I wouldn't be worried by those results at all.

angelspike · 06/03/2025 12:28

Agree if they were concerned you would know, I got a call the same day as bloods taken and told to go to hospital immediately

Yeah I’m not sure anyone should rely on this. Often only the GP who ordered them will look at them, so they sit, unseen, until that doctor does see them.

It’s best we all proactively advocate for our health at the moment, and anything proactive from the health service is a bonus.

Post indicates that the doctor has seen them. He’s therefore offered an appt later this month.
I agree with advocacy but this is done on priority and as pp have said, there isn’t anything unduly alarming about the results. If OP otherwise trusts the practice then this is very normal.
When you get your results and the doctor immediately calls you in, that’s not good - believe me.
