Thoroughly made up for you! Happily married now but totally going to look up my teenage crush. I still haven’t forgiven my friend Sarah for snogging him the day after I told her how much I loved him. We might have only been 13 but there are rules.

I was having lunch and the boy (now a grown man) I had a crush on when I was 15 (and even kissed once) walked in. I immediately turned 15 at that moment and was too embarrassed to even look at his direction.

At my school reunion when we were 40 my huge crush told me that he'd fancied me but I didn't even look at him!

People are generally excited to get a response from famous people they follow on social media. I don't see this as being very different.

Oh, I get it. My teenage crush lasted about 3 years, and it was decades before I saw him again at a reunion. I hardly dared speak to him at the time, never mind let him guess how I felt. He approached me with an anecdote I had completely forgotten. I didn't fancy him any more, but I let my inner teen enjoy the moment.
