President Zelensky loojed weary. If ever a man looks like he needs a holiday it's him. Poor fella. I hope the PM's welcome has cheered him up a bit.

Trump & Vance bullying him, and being pally with Putin, puts the UK in a sticky bit diplomatic bother, doesn't it? Trump has caused an almighty mess.

The support offered is likely to be effective , much more than the nonsense peddled in America by the idiot in charge.

It has. If, heaven forbid, there's another war then I can see the US and the UK and much of the rest of Europe being on opposing sides.

Starmer really gave him the welcome he deserves and it brought tears to my eyes after watching what he had to put up with in the White House.

Now , UK, we need to take away Trumps invitation for a state visit to show that we do not accept bullies.

Unfortunately I don't think the UK can cancel it without causing even more strife.

Unfortunately the hugs and welcome will not do much to help Ukraine with Russia. The UK and NATO cannot support Ukraine against Russia without the US and even the head of NATO made that clear today when he asked Zelensky to do whatever it takes to work on the relationship with Trump and get the discussions back on track.

Unfortunately the US has very different objectives and interests compared to the UK here so there's really nothing to watch and learn.

I will take the UK seriously if you withdraw the state visit invitation and declare that you will not work with the US/Trump including rejecting any talks of a trade deal etc, but we all know we will do that because we need them.... Stamer will continue to try to build the relationship with Trump and fawn over him because unfortunately the UK doesn't have much leverage here.
