Advice needed about incident

Nc for obvious reasons. I desperately need advice as I can't sleep thinking about this. Apologies its long i don't want to drip feed.

I currently have a non mol against my ex partner for significant stalking and harrassment between november 2022 and February 2024, where i made 147 police reports were made for various reasons. In that time police did nothing so I had to fund the order myself. The 12 month order is due to expire on 12th March. So I'm aware this leaves very little time for applications/considerations to be made.

In the span of the order being made he calmed down, the incidences reduced and has not done anything specifically detailed in the order that would class as a breech. Apart from one sketchy incident which I think i allowed him to breech and I'm concerned he might use against me obtaining further protection. However earlier yesterday evening a (male) family member made me aware that he had approached them in the pub slagging me off and then became aggressive with another family member (female) infront of her 10yo son, who was left quite frightened by the encounter.

It has made me worry why this is has happened so close to the order ending. I am now scared and can't sleep worrying that soon I will be an open target for him to start up the issues again. He made my life absolute hell before the non mol and I can't risk this happening again. I now have a 6mo in the house who I am a lone parent to and I have no faith in police helping us after the last time, when the order ends.

Do I have grounds to possibly extend the order to be extended? If so is this something he can contest? If not how can I protect us when the order ends?

An application for a NMO can be done for free.

You need advice. You can contact Rights of Women or FLOWS for legal advice.

Get some support from a domestic abuse organisation and make your house safe.

Thank you I will contact them in the morning but I don't qualify for full legal aid, atleast i didn't last time and I can't really afford to fund another round of this.

A non Molestation Order is free to apply for. You can do it yourself. However, I don't think you'll be granted one because the stalking ceased.

Therefore it would be wise to get legal advice. Both organisations above give free legal advice.
