Ideas for party bags for 11 year old boys

My son is having a sleepover for his birthday - does anyone have any ideas for party bags for 11 year old boys. Budget is £7 to £10 per bag - there are only 4 kids in total so I can splash out a bit!

Haribo.
Chocolate.
Lego?

Blubbles · 25/02/2025 23:10

I mean, aren't they a bit beyond party bags tbh? Just shove some haribo, chocolate and Prime at them 😀

Well, not even prime as that's not cool any more! But you get the idea.

My DS of that age has only had sweet cones at most, for years now. I think fidget toys might be fine, but realistically, it will more likely be a waste.

I would just give a voucher either for vbucks or PlayStation/xbox if they like to game

TheNameisNOTZiggy · 25/02/2025 23:15

Bouncy ball
Bubble wand
Popping candy
Pokemon (or other) cards

Hobbitfeet32 · 25/02/2025 23:17

Piece of cake to take home. I wouldn't bother with party bags

GrowThroughWhatYouGoThrough · 25/02/2025 23:20

Sweet cones and a piece of cake

TenderChicken · 25/02/2025 23:25

11 is getting a bit old for party bags isn't it? I just had a sleepover party for my 9 year old DD and I didn't do party bags.

MMAMPWGHAP · 25/02/2025 23:26

An Easter egg?

SalmonEile · 25/02/2025 23:27

I wouldn’t bother with the party bag and instead put the budget into something they can do at the sleepover

hermionegrunge · 25/02/2025 23:29

Sweets
Football cards
Cool fizzy drinks
Bouncy balls

Topbird29 · 25/02/2025 23:30

We tend to give an Easter egg as birthday is at end of March. Just a £1.99 sized one (although prob more this year due to COL). Always goes down well.

Never known party bags to be given at that age. They are normally more than happy just to lurk with their friends, act stupidly and stuff their faces with an unimaginable amount of pizza, crisps, sweets( and probably anything else in sight) whilst watching films, gaming/ googling random and inappropriate stuff and still being stupid. They normal just take home the residue of sweets and stuff, if anything. Most will forget half their belongings. They won't go to sleep.
You will need ear plugs and gin!!

The last couple of times my 9 year old DD has been to birthday sleepovers instead of party bags the mums have bought them all something to wear on the sleepover, so matching pjs for them all or matching oodies etc.

This I think. They are too old for stuff really. (Unfortunately 😂)

Dazzlemered · 25/02/2025 23:36

I’d do a big bar of chocolate, big bag of haribo and a bottle of prime.

TheNameisNOTZiggy · 25/02/2025 23:15

Bouncy ball
Bubble wand
Popping candy
Pokemon (or other) cards

Please do not do bubble wands

That is very babyish for 11 year old boys

Christ0nABike · 25/02/2025 23:39

My son went to a sleepover at that age and the mum gave them an empty party bag and a fiver each to go to the nearby shop to choose their own treats. Lazy ass genius she is - they loved it!

PoopingAllTheWay · 25/02/2025 23:41

If you do PRIME
Please remember to get the Hydration type and not the energy drink

clary · 25/02/2025 23:45

Yeah agree Easter egg. Ds2 birthday is in April and that was my go-to. £1 (probs £2.50 now!) and kids were really happy. So was I - easy peasy

haveyoutriedit · 25/02/2025 23:46

I think they're too old for party bags at that age!

PoopingAllTheWay · 25/02/2025 23:50

Ask your son and see what he thinks

2024namechanger · 25/02/2025 23:52

For my son’s 11th we did £1.25 bars of chocolate (big birthday). Went down really well. This year didn’t bother, and it definitely felt a little flat at the end. For that number of guests I have done boba bag; glass boba bottle, wide straw, boba sachet (£2:30 at Asda for a single serve of bubbles, tea and flavouring) and some sweets/choc. Was a huge hit. Also love the Easter egg suggestion of others.

narcASD · 25/02/2025 23:52

None it'll be a bit embarrassing at that age!

Roseyposeypie · 26/02/2025 00:11

My daughter (similar age) has had sleepovers the last few years. One year I did drawstring bags with their names on and an eye mask, sweets, tiny cuddly toy. Another year I managed to get very affordable matching oodies. Oodies were super popular and they loved having photos all matching. My son also had sleepovers at a similar age. One year he didn’t want party bags. Another year they had things related to the theme - eg collectible cards and sweets.
