I’ve recently learned that Dr Maxwell Dugboyele
is currently practising at Airedale General Hospital, despite having a disciplinary history. Shockingly, the hospital has stated that they are under no legal obligation to inform women about his past before he performs intimate procedures.
They have admitted that ethically, this lack of transparency is wrong, yet they continue to allow it. They’ve also confirmed that "informed consent" does not include disclosure of the doctor’s disciplinary history—something most women would likely want to know before agreeing to treatment.
This raises serious concerns about patient rights and safety. Women deserve full transparency about who is treating them, especially in such sensitive medical situations.
Would you support raising awareness about this? If any journalists or campaigners are reading, would you consider covering this tribunal hearing to help ensure women have the right to make a fully informed choice?
Let’s discuss—do you think hospitals should be legally required to disclose this information?
