to love the weeks when my manager is off?

My manager is away on leave this week because of half term. I actually feel like I get breathing space when she is away. She is very full on and demanding so I am going to make the most of this week and take it easy. Lie ins and a few days out.

AIBU?

I will get all the work done of course but when it suits me.

Everytime I see one of these posts, I think it's a bot collecting information for the next Mainstream media article about how "people don't work hard" or "wfh is killing the industry "

You'd be far better served by addressing the manager toxic behaviours and micro management and set clear boundaries including ensuring your manager is updated regarding your capacity.

Reasonable point but it is not so easy to do.

Might not be easy, but you'll be better served by it addressing toxic than exhibiting toxic behaviours in retaliation.

🙅‍♀️

I mean, when the toxic manager comes back, and somehow finds out (even if it's nect March), that you had a "few days out" during her leave... then your world gets a whole lot worse because their behaviours are justified (in their eyes).

Don't give them ammunition.

It has been a good week. My car is lovely and clean. I have got lots of chores done. I have been shopping and for walks.

I have all my work done too so no ammunition for manager.
