Is this normal healing?

I had a biopsy done last Wednesday and had stitches in after. The area is quite red and still tender, I don't know if it's normal or not. I can't tell if im just being silly and worrying over nothing, so I'm wondering if anyone could advise me. I'll attach a photo

No, it just says ‘picture’.

I've added it again.

Is it sore/hot/weaping? Are they dissolvable stitches?

ThatUniqueKoala · 15/02/2025 18:46

That's some rather awful stitching

If it has been nearly two weeks I'd reach out to your GP or if you can, speak to the doctor who performed the procedure. It looks rather inflamed and painful.

Not weeping but a little sore. No, they aren't dissolvable stitches, having them out on Wednesday.

Looks a bit red and as if the stitches are quite tight.

Glitchymn1 · 15/02/2025 18:48

Ouch. I wonder if you are allergic to the stitches?

Iamacatslave · 15/02/2025 18:57

The stitches look very tight.

Doglover1994 · 15/02/2025 19:13

I'm not sure if it makes a difference to the stitching, but the area is just near my arm pit, so it's a high tension area. Maybe that's why he did them tight? I don't know.

Looks swollen. Are those blisters in between the stitches? I would get that checked tomorrow- minor injuries or call 111. If it feels hot to the touch or any discharge may be infected, def looks swollen, definitely get it looked at tomorrow but don't go to A&E on a Saturday night!

I had it done on the 12th of February, so they are fairly fresh, I took the bandage off yesterday as directed by the nurse. It wasn't this red yesterday but hasn't gotten worse in regards to soreness
