How many sausages is too many?

Chipolatas, specifically. Naice ones.

DH out for pizza and cinema with the elder DC, toddler in bed so I'm going for the healthy option of sausage sandwich for tea. 5 left in the packet, 3 is my usual number of choice to comfortably fill the sandwich and satisfy the craving, but leaving 2 chipolatas seems silly. Lashings of ketchup, obviously.

YANBU - eat all five
YABU - stop right there little miss piggy, too many!

I ate all 5 🐷. Now experiencing equal parts enjoyment and regret. They were delicious though.

2 for a starter with a different sauce, 3 in the sandwich.

MaterCogitaVera · 15/02/2025 19:00

This'll turn up as a maths problem on this year's GCSEs, guaranteed.

coldscottishmum · 15/02/2025 19:01

Cook all 5. Eat what you can manage and have the left overs before bed or for lunch tomorrow!

I cut sausages in half down the middle for sandwiches.
So there would be 6 half with 3.

Thats so wrong I'd have to cut it in half width ways with 2 fully in tact chipolatas on each side.

It works!
Plus they don't roll out of the toast!

Don't regret. Have a peppermint tea 😄

Ang3leyes · 15/02/2025 19:23

I ate a 6 pack of tesco finest pork and apple sausages in one sitting the other day for dinner with mash, they were nice.

Cook all 5. 3 for your sandwich and 2 to snack on tomorrow

Yes, this is the right answer. Cold sausages is a top tier fridge snack.

Yes sorry, I think I’m just angry because no one can use is and are properly anymore. Don’t take it personally

JMSA · 15/02/2025 19:39

Definitely all 5.

I could eat you lot under the table though Grin

MinnieMountain · 15/02/2025 19:43

Hmm. I need an easy supper after my journey on Monday and there’s a Waitrose next to the train station I’ll arrive at….

Edited to add- that will be 3 normal sausages + beans.

No I've had a gastric sleeve so can't eat much.

hazelnutvanillalatte · 15/02/2025 20:04

I always cook them all (10 in the packs I buy) and save some for the next day
