To think I can actually move away

I’m on my own with 3 kids, have professional qualifications but no savings. I’m under 45 (just) and am deeply unhappy in the UK. Have lived abroad before for significantly periods in both Europe and Africa and I just cannot seem to settle here and have any kind of quality of life.
so the AIBU is thinking that I could actually successfully move abroad and be happy
anyone done it on their own? Name changed.

If their father(s) don’t want the kids to move abroad / they could stop you taking them .

Also - do your children want to move abroad ? If they are teenagers they will have a say in where they live.
Obviously lots of variables and things to consider as it isn’t just yourself to think about .

Assuming the father doesn't object and the children would enjoy it, I think it could be a really good idea. What about language though?

Brexit has made this really difficult now, for the EU.

You need to think very carefully about why you are unhappy here and what will realistically be different if you move. Often people take their unhappiness with them. The grass isn't always greener.
Also where wil you go, will you be able to speak the language? Will you need a visa to work ? Will you be able to get a job? What about schools? How will the children feel about leaving their friends? Will it be easy to get accommodation? How easy will it be yo access health care?
Is the children's father in the picture? Will he agree to you taking them abroad?
What are you looking for that you can't find here?
If you are sure about all those questions and you are confident things will be better then you are not being unreasonable.

If you hold a GB passport, you won't be allowed to work in Europe, until some years down the line ... unless you have a skillset they specifically need or you are a digital nomad. Just bear this in mind.
