So am finally looking at getting a dishwasher ๐Ÿ™ˆit's been too long ! I don't know where to start though. I've googled the best ones and they are way out of my price bracket. Has anyone got a reliable one that wasn't too dear that you're happy with. Thanks v much

You are being unreasonable.

Tons of "traffic" there on both forums. today.

AIBU is not "Mumsnet" in its entirety. It is just a sub forum.

Iโ€™ve had from curryโ€™s basic to top of range Bosch apart from usefulness off rack layout didnโ€™t really notice the difference between the one that cost 3 times as much

We didn't know what we were doing either and ended up getting a cheap beko and it's been great, still going strong 7 years later.
Johnlewis is helpful for checking what redemption deals are available as well, even if you have no intention of buying from them, as they list it along with the price. We got a years supply free of dishwasher tablets when we bought ours.

We had a Beko. Much better than the Zanussi it replaced, which lasted two years. It was integrated, so limited choice and the only other option at the time, Miele was four times the cost.
lWe moved house at the end of last year, so left it still going strong after eight years.

Thanks very much

I had a beko and didn't really like it. I had the Motor and motherboard replaced and gave up after 5 years. Got a hotpoint 2 years ago and really like it. It is much quieter which I like as we have an open plan kitchen/diner/living room

I subscribed to WHICH last month purely to see their best buy dishwashers, we bought hisense hv693c60uk wifi.

Very happy with performance and itโ€™s so quiet.

ยฃ250 for something that you use everyday 5 years is about right

Yes except every moving part had been replaced so basically it lasted about 2.5 years. I personally think appliances should last longer, too much waste generated throwing then out every few years

Grannyinnwaiting · 14/02/2025 10:03

i had a beko which was very good- i now have a Neff - also great - super quiet - Beko was great value for money

Not keen on our Beko, it's too loud - not the actual cleaning, that's fine, but it makes this high pitched whine I can hear everywhere in the house. And the filter is crap so we have to clean the whole thing much more regularly than our old Siemens which was inherited with the house and approx 10 years old. I bought it in a rush and wish we'd spent more time but we just needed one we could pick up the same day and there wasn't much choice.

I nearly went for a cheaper Bosch but was put off by the fact the one in my price range had a plastic base on the interior. I think the whole of the interior but definitely the base of it needs to be stainless steel for easy cleaning. Plastic just seems to attract grease and I didn't like the thought of it.

I am happy with my Beko tumble dryer, which is why I thought the dishwasher would be OK.
