@TheNuthatch The PM didn't go to Davos. It was Reeves and Reynolds in 2024.

Doesn't really matter which members of the govt go: the PM, his cabinet ministers or any of our MPs. For example, when Starmer met with Bill Gates and Co at Downing Street, I would still expect that the public should be able to see at least some meeting minutes that would provide details of the meeting, its purpose, actions, agreements reached etc. In other words, transparency as we both seem to agree and information that would give the public a sense of the government's accountability to it.

Keeping these meetings entirely private behind the closed doors and then being surprised with all so called conspiracies circulating around them does not seem sensible.

Yes I fully agree. Although I doubt they would want us to know exactly what goes on behind the scenes!

Conspiracy theories about the WEF are also generally anti-semitic as they spread the rumours that the WEF is controlled by Jews.

The people who keep banging on about farmers and inheritance tax and its detremintal impact on our food supply also tend to be ardent Brexiteers who never admit the hugely detrimental impact of Brexit on farming and our food supply.

Completely opposite - people who understand basics of economics and behavioral impact of taxation are really worried about this IHT. And because of this understanding of economics they mostly were staunch Remainers.
