Anyone had a partial molar pregnancy found at 12 week scan?

We had our 12 week scan and were shocked and devastated to find out that our baby hadn't grown past 6 weeks. I had no bleeding and very strong pregnancy symptoms, awful nausea started at 8 weeks. I had a surgical management of a miscarriage on Tuesday and the surgeon told me that from what he had seen, it is most likely a partial molar pregnancy.
Has anyone had this and did you successfully fall pregnant after? Did you need treatment?

Hi I just came across this thread - so sorry to read what you’re going through. I had a partial molar diagnosed in Feb and only had it removed 4 weeks ago (was a long complicated story) I’ve just had my first blood test sent to Charing Cross and am praying I don’t need chemo. I also had a missed miscarriage 6 months ago - seems relentless and cruel. Sending everyone love x

I'm sorry for your loss. I had a partial molar pg diagnosed after medical management of a missed mc discovered at the 12 week scan. The whole thing was so hard and it was just shock after shock. It was my first much longed for pregnancy and I didn't know anything about missed mc or molar pregnancy. I didn't require any further treatment but did have to wait for my hcg levels to fall and for the 6 month follow up before I could ttc again. That was a really tough time. I did go on to have 2 healthy pregnancies and it now just feels like a distant memory but I do recall how scary it all sounded. Fingers crossed yours isn't molar or that if it is you don't require any further treatment...but if you do remember that if is very treatable so don't be too freaked out.

I had a partial molar pregnancy eight years ago and was monitored for six months afterwards. It was devastating at the time as we discovered the baby was dead at my 12 week scan but I have gone on to have my two beautiful children with no issues. Most likely it will be absolutely fine although it's scary and I definitely felt very alone at the time. X
