With all due respect 😆

I had one 'softly reminding' me about a meeting the other week, I almost didn't go on purpose.

Coconuthotchocolate · 06/02/2025 16:38

Omg. Our division does this all the time. There’s nothing gentle about it and it makes my head spin off my shoulders! Why not be direct and say
‘just a quick reminder of…’?

I hate the phrase gentle reminder. My dentist will send an email that says this is a gentle reminder of your appointment on x date.

carkerpartridge · 06/02/2025 17:01

My dentist sends the "gentle reminder" email too, it's completely unnecessary annoying.
Also "polite notices" which are usually asking people not to park somewhere.

YADNBU - one of my pet hates too! Invariably received when I've either already done something but it's sent out to everyone, or when it's something I have no intention of doing

ShittyTitty · 06/02/2025 22:24

What about a cheeky reminder?

Benjibas · 06/02/2025 22:28

Who thinks “I look forward to hearing from you” is aggressive?
