To sulk over not getting an offer (for a property) accepted

The London property market has always been a nightmare, but nowadays it's mostly pure garbage being advertised (landlords dropping their flats/houses lately) - and the prices are allover the place.
So when you do see something in an area you are interested in, that you can see yourself moving into, and within your price range - it is a pretty big deal.
Let me just say we have been looking for close to a year now so yeah...
And then probably due to being undervalued - the property literally starts getting multiple offers a day - cue bidding war - long story short -we got dropped after raising our offer in the second round - and offered well over asking price too.
I am so deflated looking at what's available atm and could just sit and cry.

It's certainly difficult emotionally. I also looked for over a year and then settled for something that if it were not for the pressure I wouldn't have bought otherwise. I bought something that basically no-one else would look at because of the amount of work required to make it habitable.

However all I can advise is it won't get any easier but to make it easier emotionally perhaps consider having a weekend a month when you don't do any searching or house views would be a good idea for your mental health.

Also, try not to visualize living in a house too much until you've had an offer accepted.

The issue is I always visualise life in a property we are looking at, that is how I am choosing weather to make an offer or not 😅

I feel you OP, we’ve been looking on and off for over a year, offered on two but wasn’t accepted. Seen one today which we hope to buy. It takes a lot of thought to commit to a purchase and then to get constantly rejected can be very disputing.
