To ask if anyone uses the ‘dial’ ‘analogue’ radios anymore ?

I bought myself one of these traditional dial radios back in 2016 but I’ve really hardly ever used it. I listen to everything now through BBC sounds and sometimes on TV, and other radio apps on my phones.

Thing is with my dial radio the reception isn’t that good on it and I can’t be bothered to use it!

i just wondered if dial radios were still widely used?

My bedside clock radio is analogue and has been waking me most days for about 40 years. Radio one as a teen, radio 4 now. DD has a slightly more modern one but it's still analogue. We've got a DAB one in the kitchen which is better sound quality. I like the randomness of what I listen to. If I didn't have live radio I would be very ignorant about current affairs and there are all sorts of interesting things that I learn about by chance. I like podcasts but I can never decide what to listen to. It's much simpler just to press the 'on' switch of my radio.

I do, I had a little project some years back when I decided I needed a radio in every room of my house so I could move around the house without missing whatever I was listening too. They all still work but I never have to change settings since they are all tuned to R4.

I have a small dial radios in every room, little hand size. I love them.
I flit between a few stations.
Love the radio.

Yes, I have several radios. One of them is on all day, and the one in the bedroom all night. I couldn't live without them. I can't even have a shower without listening to the radio. Mind you, I'm very old school - I watch DVDs and play CDs too, and even use a film camera. 😀

Dial radio upstairs for alarm its always on radio 4. Looks like a dial radio but it’s not downstairs again on radio 4. Computer sometimes used for radio, radio 4 again, usually so I can catch the part I missed on one of the other radios because I went out the room. Oh dial radio at work too with radio 4 on. I like radio 4

That’s a good idea actually!
