We've had mice for a month now, we're in a flat, 2nd floor out of 6 floors.

Before anyone asks about pest control, we called them out and they won't do anything because it is a flat, and they've said they would need every tenant in the building to arrange pest control otherwise they'll find new ways to come back in.

We're actually due to move out next month, but I'm wondering if what I'm doing is ok enough, we have a cat, and I'm using dettol/zoflora and washing up liquid on the floors where the entry is ( bathroom ) this is where they're getting in.

I'm not sweeping in the bathroom and I'm just straight mopping, I usually wear gloves but ran out, and today I was cleaning and some of the mop bucket water got all over my hands whilst I was cleaning, I did wash my hands but we have also ran out of hand wash ( middle of packing everything is all over the place ) so I'm using washing up liquid until I can get out later today.

Will this be effective enough to clear up after the mice? We caught 2 today in traps, after a week n half of nothing, we've caught 10 in total.

Also will washing my hands and arms with fairy and hot water be enough to kill any potential germs? Or am I just BU and need to calm the f down? Because I'm scared of

What’s the landlord doing about it ? Do the next tenants know about the problem ?

I have spoken to all tenants on my floor at the very beginning, (27/12) I tried to knock on next doors and upstairs but no answer.

It's housing association, they're well aware of the issue, and they've still refused to step in. They've been sent complaints which I know of and by myself, and still do not care.

They tried to blame it on pest control, but it is the council pest control that came out and said he didn't want us wasting the £95 because unless the other 38 flats did the same the mice would not go.
