Autism and surmising things

I'm autistic and one trait is that I very easily surmise things and jump to conclusions. This is getting me in bother at work, for example today I surmised that something had happened when it was a different outcome. How do I help myself?

Are you able to give some examples of what you mean please, OP? My DD is diagnosed autistic and I think she does this sometimes but then she's only 10! So I'm not sure if it's her age or her ASD!

One example; I said to her "I think those leggings are getting a bit short now darling" her response "So you're saying I'm fat?!?!"

Oh I do that all the time but if shit goes down at work, I tend to imagine all scenarios and stay them out loud to my manager who isn't too impressed.

OP can you do anything as simple as count to ten in your head before saying anything, using that time to think 'does my boss want to know this'?
