to be really fed up that I cannot find shoes to fit me anywhere?

I have small feet. Only a size 2. And to add to that I have flat feet so walking in heals is something I just can't do. Can do it for night out etc but as I walk everywhere I just cannot walk everywhere on heals.

But I cannot find flat comfortable shoes to fit me anywhere. I have trawled the shoe shops, the children's departments, the internet, and the only shoes I can find either have heals, or are hidious. (found some leopard print ones for £130 ).

am I the only person in the world that has small feet and wants comfortable shoes? because it bloody seems like it.

dont clarks sell them?

what cute little feet you have

bitofadramaqueen · 06/05/2008 11:38

Have you tried duo? They're specialist in width fittings - for the first time ever I got knee high boots to fit me over the winter! They do shoes in different widths too.

Tapster · 06/05/2008 12:29

Hobbs used to do them, my feet grew to size 3 when I was pregnant with DD so I haven't tried Hobbs recently, hope to get pregnant again soon maybe I'll go up to a size 4 .

I have a size 2 foot. I agree it is a total nightmare. We have a store called Staccato near us and their shoes start at a 2. They are lovely shoes as well (some can be a bit pricey though).
Otherwise it's trainers and plimsolls for me (from the kids dept less VAT!! )

chrissnow · 06/05/2008 12:36

Actually i should clarify that . . . . I have two size 2 feet !!!

funnypeculiar · 06/05/2008 12:37

I am a size 3
I am learning to love Thomas the Tank Engine slippers

Seriously, do look at kids shoes - they often go up to a 5 & no tax!

Lauriefairycake · 06/05/2008 12:42

Birkenstocks, clogs/shoes for winter, sandals for summer, in all beautiful colours

www.footshopping.com

They start at childrens sizes 31 and go all the way up........

melpomene · 06/05/2008 13:36

Have you tried the children's section of Next? (The range in the catalogue/website is better than the range in the shop.)

I quite like their styles and have bought shoes from their children's section several times, despite having large feet. Most of their girls' shoes actually go all the way up to adult size 7! And they're cheaper than the similar adult styles because you avoid VAT.

Bally do tiny shoes - i think even as small as a size 1. bt expensive, but maybe worth a try

vole3 · 09/05/2008 06:14

Bally have their factory shop in Norwich. Really nice paying single figures for a pair that has a three figure price on the box

branflake81 · 09/05/2008 10:59

I wish I had small feet . I'm 5 foot 3 and my feet are size 8. I look like a clown!

triflenorks · 09/05/2008 11:07

I'm 5' with size 7 feet. dd is the same she is 4'11 and a size 6

SlackSally · 10/05/2008 22:06

Oh I feel like I've finally come home. I'm 5'1 and a size seven. Also look like a clown. Plus my feet are wide at the front and narrow at the back.

Why do shoe manufacturers seem to think that heels are the same width as toes?
