Is this hypocritical?

On Facebook I noticed someone who used to (or maybe still does) post pictures of strangers' fashion disasters had asked someone to remove an old picture of them, presumably because they found it embarrassing in some way. AIBU to think this is hypocritical?

I think it's very hypocritical! It's ok for her to slag other people off, but doesn't want it done to her?! Yeah, hypocrite. And not the sort of person I'd want to know or have as a Facebook friend!

@MoonWoman69 Thing is their friend wasn't even slagging them off. They had just posted an old photo of her which she didn't like for some reason.

@PantoHorse
She clearly has double standards when it comes to what she finds acceptable!
I don't think it matters if the friend was slagging her off or not. She's quite happy slagging other peoples choice of clothes off, but doesn't want unflattering pictures of herself being posted!
She sounds very shallow. Why is she on your friends list?!

PantoHorse · 13/01/2025 20:17

She isn't a close friend, I might add.

@MoonWoman69 We must have posted almost simultaneously. She isn't a close friend as I said, but I suppose I keep her on out of curiosity. I don't hate her or anything.

I've got rid of a few Facebook "friends" that seemed to do nothing more than moan or slag other people off. Or posted every single little detail of their private lives!
Facebook can be awful sometimes!

It can be. Lots of boasting too. The photo in question was still there earlier today
