Want to start by acknowledging that nothing crunchy and fried is as healthy as a plate of steamed broccoli etc.

But, if I want a crunchy snack, AIBU to think that the packs of crunchy broad beans/corn etc are healthier than normal crisps?

DH think they're just marketing nonsense and we should stick to normal crisps at they're cheaper. I think these are slightly better for us. AIBU?

They may be healthier than crisps, but crunchy broadbeans/corn are minging. As for kale crisps? Bleurgh! 😖

Give me a pack of tasty Seabrooks baked crisps any day. Delicious! 😋

I don't like popcorn, I want something hard and crunchy. Will give the chickpeas a go, how long in the air fryer and any oil?

Depends on your AF - mine takes about 10 minutes but give them a shake halfway.

The trick is to get them dry-ish so they crisp up. Drain, leave for a bit, & tip onto a plate with a paper towel, roll them about a bit, then into the AF with any flavourings & maybe a tea spoon of oil, max.

They're great with curry spices, or paprika.
