To take a baby to holiday evening entertainment

We are due to go away in the summer but will have our baby by then who'll be 4 months.
The place we'll be staying has evening entertainment which we thought we might go to as we are going with some friends who also have young children which the entertainment is aimed at but they are a bit older.
My worry now is babies ears and will it be too loud for such a young baby?

You can get baby sized ear defenders. They're really cute!

I tried something similar when my DD was a few months old. She couldn’t sleep and screamed until we took her home to bed. You can only try, but I wouldn’t book a holiday hoping to enjoy the evening entertainment with a baby

Bless her, isn’t that far too loud for a 4 month old. Maybe take turns or don’t go every night. I wouldn’t have wanted to stay out late with such a small baby. Holidays change with babies in tow!

Took our 4 month old to holiday entertainment last year - she slept through it all - took ear defenders but actually sat right at the entrance at the back so wasn’t too loud, and we enjoyed wine and playing uno with our other kids. Bliss. Worth a try

Where's all mine were taken to holiday evening entertainment with no issues.

I wouldn't want to be sat in a hotel room every evening on holiday as it's just pointless going

Same. We had an all inclusive holiday at 6 months and didn't do eve entertainment. We didn't mind, we sat on the balcony with a drink.

From that age we always took dd out for evening entertainment (my parents lived abroad in a holiday location). I always tried to keep same routine- bath, bottle, pj's then into pram with a black out cover and walked until asleep. I then met the rest at the venue, had dinner then when it got louder out ear defenders in. Dd slept soundly.

4 month old are tricky. I took my baby to lots of dinners and stuff until he was about 10 weeks. Newborns sleep anywhere, anytime. At 4 months they can be very very tricky, no way of knowing how it will go in advance.
