My leg quivers internally ( for 3 or so days now ) at the back of the knee when I'm standing or walking.

Antone had this ?

When you say ‘quivers internally’ do you mean there is a muscle spasm that feels deep within the joint, or that your knee feels ready to collapse/ rotate inwards?

Like an internal feeling. The knee itself is completely stable.

I’ve not had this problem, but my immediate thought is that it is either referred from a back injury/ imbalance, or that you’ve pinched a nerve in your knee? Alternatively maybe you could have a small tear at the bottom of your hamstring?

Any chance you're a bit dehydrated (low on electrolytes) or lacking some magnesium or iron? Those three things are the main culprits for me on the odd occasion I've had a muscle go rogue.

I get that when my thyroid meds are out of whack (I think - not sure, given your description).

If you are worried, see a private physio (usually around £30/£40) who can assess you for musculoskeletal and neurological problems and put your mind at rest on that score - or some health authorities do direct physio referral on the NHS. Way more informative than a GP. Then if they give you the all clear and it persists, you can go to the GP, giving them the extra info that it isn't (or is) neurological/musculoskeletal as per a physio assessment.
